映画『ブロークバック・マウンテン』に関する報道で悲しく思うこと

アカデミー賞の結果については、まあこんなもんだろうよと思うんですが、ここ数日の日本のTVがこの作品をやたらと「禁断の恋」だの「禁断の愛」だのって言葉で紹介し続けていたのがうざかったです。うるせえよ禁断禁断って。同性同士の恋なら即「禁断」とレッテルを貼って思考停止っていうそのレトロな感覚はなんとかならんのかね。
今ちょっと検索したら、原作者Annie Proulxはadovocate.comのインタビューに答えてこんなことを言ってます。

I hope that it is going to start conversations and discussions, that it's going to awaken in people an empathy for diversity, for each other and the larger world. I'm really hoping that the idea of tolerance will come through discussions about the film.

マスコミの思考停止っぷりを見る限り、悲しいけど日本じゃまだまだそこまで行きそうもないないですね。はー。
